Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Shiregal collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit shiregal.co.uk, book a call or work with me. Last updated 7 October 2026.

1. Who I am

Shiregal is run by Chloe Jamieson, a sole trader based in North Ayrshire, Scotland. I am the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email chloe@shiregal.co.uk or call 07845 758 721.

2. What information I collect

  • Booking details. When you book a call through the calendar on this site, Calendly collects your name, email address, the date and time you choose and any answers you give in the booking form.
  • Enquiries. If you email or phone me, I keep your name, contact details and whatever you choose to share about your business.
  • Client information. If we work together, I keep the details needed to deliver your project and invoice you, such as your business name, address and billing details.
  • Website usage. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location (town or city level) and how you found the site.

3. How I use your information

  • To reply to your enquiries and arrange calls. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to you, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To deliver my services and invoice you. The legal basis is performing our contract.
  • To keep financial and tax records. The legal basis is my legal obligation.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you accept analytics cookies.

I never sell your information, and I will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

4. Who I share it with

I only share your information with trusted providers who help me run my business, and only as much as they need:

  • Calendly, which runs the booking calendar.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics.
  • Webflow, which hosts this website.
  • Fasthosts, which hosts my email.
  • My accountant, and HMRC where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses essential cookies that help the site and the booking calendar work properly. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. Calendly may also set its own cookies when you use the booking calendar. You can change or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

6. How long I keep it

  • Enquiries and booking details that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 12 months.
  • Client and invoicing records are kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to have it transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email chloe@shiregal.co.uk. I will reply within one month, and there is usually no charge.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please do get in touch.

8. Keeping your information safe

I use reputable, secure providers and protect my accounts with strong passwords and two-step verification where available.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
